The Mediation Process for cases registered in the Terengganu State Court has been implemented since the beginning of 2011. At that time, the Mediation Process was conducted in the Registrar's Senior Assistant Chamber. Cases for Mediation that are successfully resolved will continue to be recorded judgment in front of the Judge/Magistrate of the Court on the same day the Mediation session is conducted. Mediations that fail to be resolved will be returned to the relevant Court interpreter for further action.

In the last quarter of 2016, a room on the 7th Floor of the Kuala Terengganu Court Complex was renovated and turned into the Kuala Terengganu Mediation Center. Starting December 2016, the Kuala Terengganu Mediation Center has been fully operational. Cases that have been set for Mediation have been conducted at the Kuala Terengganu Mediation Center.

The Kuala Terengganu Mediation Center not only accepts registration of cases for Mediation from Civil Courts around Kuala Terengganu such as the High Court, Sessions Court, and Magistrate's Court but also accepts registration of Civil cases from district Courts such as the Marang Magistrate's Court; Kuala Berang Magistrate Court; Dungun Magistrate Court; Sessions Court and Kemaman Magistrate; Sessions Court and Setiu Magistrate; and also the Sessions Court and Besut Magistrate.

The facilities provided at the Kuala Terengganu Mediation Center are a room for Mediation sessions, 2 caucus rooms, and 2 waiting rooms for the parties involved in the Mediation process. Two staff members are stationed at this Mediation Center to facilitate all Mediation matters.
